Roll forming of a high strength AA7075 aluminum tube

چکیده

Abstract The presented paper provides a modelling strategy for roll forming of high strength AA7075 aluminum tube. Roll allows the cost-effective production large quantities long profiles. Forming brings challenges like springback and poor formability due to low Young’s modulus, ductility yield strength. processes with aluminum, such as alloy, therefore require detailed process design. Three different strategies, one double radius two W-forming strategies are discussed in paper. addresses question whether common appropriate challenge For this purpose, investigated numerically regarding buckling, longitudinal strain distribution final geometry. While geometry is quite same all buckling differ every strategy. result numerical investigation an open tube that can be welded into closed subsequent step. Finally, experiments conducted compared results.
